The perfect phone?

I have truly enjoyed using my visor phone over the past year. I loved hearing "Is that a palm pilot you're talking into?" when I'm out in a store or some other public place.

But I am ready for something new, something better. I would like a palm with:

. world band phone
. bluetooth headset, that's easily attached and detached from side of palm (I'm tired of getting the long skinny string wrapped around the shifter in my car or other objects on my desk)
. color screen, same size as Prism at least.
. grafitti writing area.
. and nice form factor

If anyone knows of such an animal, please let me know.
Thanks.
Patricia

Sounds like you want a Handspring Treo 270.

Color, etc. No Graffiti are, though. It has a keyboard..

Check the link:

Although I have never been able to solve the problem of headset cords wrapping around the steering wheel either -- I ended up sitting the phone on the passenger's seat.

Either that, or get a belt-clip for it, wrap a canvas belt around your car seat at about neck level and then clip the phone to the belt. It looks silly, but the cable can then be flung behind your head and out of the way.

The perfect phone . . . is a phone. That's why I swtched away from my Visorphone and Treo 180 to a regular phone (with Bluetooth) and a Bluetooth equppied PocketPC. Try it - you'll like it.

Thanks Kupe. I will look into that combo.

It's hard though to go over to Windows. It's kind of a religious thing, you know.

After seeing that the Prism was discontinued on HS's site, maybe I will go over to Staples, buy the Prism, and attach the visorphone.

I could at least have 75% worth of the perfect phone. No bluetooth. But I use the Palm part more than the phone, so that's ok.

Do you have a GSM Provider? I know that the Sony Ericsson T68i will soon be released in the US to replace the T68. Both phones have bluetooth built into them and should run GPRS data to your handheld, providing you have bluetooth. You can purchase the bluetooth (Red-M) Blade module from Palmgear.com. I would wait till it comes down in price though. This setup should run a data connection via bluetooth and GPRS. Not even the Treo 270 is GPRS capable yet. I know that Compaq has a bluetooth enabled ipaq. I am a Mac guy and can not use Pocket PC, for it is not compatible with OSX, so I will probably go with the first mentioned setup.

Good luck
