Hey All,

I'm kinda fed up with YY... I've never gotten good service since I got it... even though it is supposed to work in my area. Now that Sprint is coming out with the phone module, I'd rather use that, since I know sprint works quite well for me here...

I took advantage originally of the free modem/1 year from YY, but at 40 bucks a month for something that doesnt work, that's a lot...

Has anyone succesfully cancelled out of that deal? what were the penalties?

I got fed-up with Yada Yada when I couldn�t connect to their service with the very expensive Minstrel S modem I purchased from them. I called them and never got a real person just a third party answering service and never got any replies to my phone messages and emails. So after a month I called my credit card company explained to them what was happening and they stopped paying yada yada. Then I finally get this email from Yada Yada.

Mr. X,

Today when attempting to charge your credit card for June's wireless
Service it declined. Would you please call us at 800-923-2923 and give us another credit card so we may charge you for June service. We look forward to hearing back from you.

This company is a joke; this is a one-man show. This guy Eric M. Nix is the only person running that circus. Since then I�ve hooked up to the web using my Visor connected via cable to my Verizon phone and service. And have been happy ever since. I had about two months left on the contract and have yet to get any other responses or $ demands from Yada or any Lawyers. This prick won�t pay you any attention until he's not getting paid. Now I know not everybody has had these problems with Yada but this is a fact. When the SH*t hits the fan this guy can�t handle the load.

That's kinda my feeling... I've actually gotten through to someone... eric, probably, who tried to help me get the modem working... we even exchanged it...

I still wonder...

Has anyone that took the one year/free modem cancelled before the year was done? If so, were there any penalties?

I would love to be able to use the service... it is exactly what I wanted, if it worked........................
