Is it possible to connect a Visor Platinum to a Motorola StarTac 7797 for wireless access to email, web, etc?

I could be wrong, but my understanding was that TDMA phones did not support data connections. Or maybe that is just AT&T/Suncom, the only TDMA service provider in my area.
