-- Outlook Express 5 not syncing (http://discussion.visorcentral.com/vcforum/showthread.php?threadid=2086)
I've had my Visor for two weeks now, and it's synced with Outlook Express 5.5 only twice
. Here's what I've checked...
1) OE5 IS my default mailer and, as others have found, there's no "MAPI" setting box in the options to check off. When I try to reconfigure, though, I too get the "you've got to get it as your MAPI client" message that others have received. (There's not even a listing for "MAPI" in the OE5 help file!)
2) I've tried syncing with the conduit set both in "sync" mode and "desktop overrides" mode. Of the two times it has successfully synced, it has always been in "sync" mode.
3) I've got "all" set in the mail program itself, so it supposed to will send and receive everything.
4) I've sent mail before, but now I've just tried sending two test messages to myself, and they disappear from the Visor outbox, don't appear in my OE5 sentbox, and never arrive.
5) I've done a soft reset, to no effect.
6) I've checked these boards, but found no further information than I've included here.
7) I've checked Handspring's online FAQ and it reports the problem on the earlier OE5, but this is the latest...is that the problem? Now I'm wondering whether this is a problem with 5.5 and whether going back to 5.1 will solve the issue.
Your thoughts and suggestions are desparately requested!
Thank you.

RESOLUTION --
It seems that Outlook Express 5.5 WAS the problem. After uninstalling 5.5 and then reinstalling OE5, everything is syncing without any problem.
TAKE NOTE: Outlook Express 5.5 doesn't seem with recognize the hotsync conduits.
I think that OE 5.5 is not supported because it is the beta version..it comes with IE5.5 beta right.
