Checking Thinmodem connection speed

Hi, I upgraded my Thinmodem to V.90 56K, now after I connect, tapping the lower right corner always shows the connection speed as "V.90" instead of an actual number like before upgrading. Is there any way of knowing the actual connection speed? Thanks.

Pressing the "down" button during connection reveals "115200 bps", so that doesn't help.
