Yet Another Visorphone thread: Retail? and Cingular/SoCal?

Lots of discussions about Voicestream, but not Cingular.

Anybody have a visorphone with service from Cingular, particularly in the Los Angeles area?

How's the service?

Are you using Cingular's internet connection or dialing into your own ISP?

Separate question: Handspring's site says that the Visorphone is available in Best Buys and Staples in various states including California. Has anyone been in since the price drop to see if it's the same in the store? Seems like it might be easier to figure out rate plans with a live person (for example on the website, it skips the rate plan I want and goes from $69 to $149 with nothing in between).

I have it and have to say it is a bit expensive as you are charged for internet connect time. I use Bluelight, I dont think Cingular supplies a ISP. Also the signal is spotty inside and the battery doesnt seem to last too long. (2 days)
