Startac 7760 connect w/ prism via Thinmodem+?

Hi all!
Tried to take the wireless plunge but no luck! I neglected to identify my startac phone correctly and ordered the gomadic cable to connect prism to startac. Seems the ST 7760 is not listed as CDMA. This is probably a futile attempt, but could I use my thinmodem+ to wirelessly connect startac to prism? How would I configure settings?
Any responses greatly appreciated. TIA.

Modem & Cell Phones

All of the modems I've looked at are NOT compatible wilth cell phones. The only way I've found to connect to the internet with my Startac (7868BTW) is through a cable from my Prism directly to the cell phone.

I've talked to several modem manufacturers and all of them have said that their modems will only work when connected to a landline.

a webenabled startac.
