TreoCentral stuff showing up on VisorCentral

Marcus! Help!

It appears that TC stuff is showing up again on the VC discussion board. I think this began happening when the new Treo 600 was released.

I, like others, don't want to wade through the Treo stuff to get our Visor fix.

Thanks.

- Jeramy

Most of the Treo stuff that's showing up seems to be from shared forums like Communications Software or All Handhelds. Sorry, but that just goes with the territory. One can't reasonably expect Marcus et al to maintain two copies of those forums just so us abandoned dinosaurs that still haunt the VC swamps don't have to wade through them.

It would be nice if there was some sort of filter we could set on.. I noticed the rise in Treo spam myself..

Toby - my request was one similar to the one in this thread, which Marcus was able to correct. I figured it was some configuration change that was recently made.

Today, there's definitely an issue. The stuff I mentioned is largely Treo related lately but not really much to do about, but there's all the other "Treo 600 Family" forums which just started showing up.

I was just musing that it would be nice to be able to pick and choose which forums you can see.. in that case, I could "turn off" the offending forums..

But lets face it, we are in the minority, more or less abandoned.. we are the forgotten children.. we will just have to live with the higher noise to signal ratio these days..

I had forgotten about that thread.. it was one of mine.. yeah, that was a different thing than what we are seeing here..

What VisorCentral needs is its own communications forum.. but I doubt that will happen..

There is... go under Settings and you can subscribe ONLY to the forums you want to follow. Then instead of coming directly into the main VC forum page, bookmark the "My vb Home" link and you'll only see the forums you've selected.

It's not the best solution, but is an option...

Thanks I must have missed it.. getting old ya know..

It may help improve the signal to noise ratio round here..
