Xircom Springport (SWE) & SMC Barricade Router?

Has anyone tried this combo out? I am looking into buying a Xircom Springport , however, if it does not work with my SMC Wireless router, then forget it!

I have a SMC7004AWBR at home with 1.93k2 firmware. The Xircom SWE works with it. However, http://www.practicallynetworked.com reported that there can be problems if you have an older version of the router firmware.

cool... I have 1.92c on my router right now, but I'll just flash the firmware when I get my swe.
