Visor Deluxe Newbie requesting suggestions

I received a Visor Deluxe for Christmas. I'm very familiar with the Palm OS so that's no big deal. I'm looking for suggestions on software accessories that are a must. I will need to sync of course...do I need Intellisync or just the stuff included with the package? I have a serial port...so that's first on my list of things to get. In addition to working, I also have a home based business. If anyone has suggestions on where to start for springboards, I would appreciate the help. I don't want to get stuff I'll end up not using.
